How to run GROUP:NAME:VERSION via the graphical interface

The Album installation wizard installs Album together with its graphical interface and places an Album shortcut on your desktop. To add this catalog, click catalogs: N in the status bar at the bottom of the window, choose Add catalog and paste CATALOG_URL. Then find the solution in the list, pick version VERSION and click Run - if the solution is not installed yet, Album asks to install it first.

How to run GROUP:NAME:VERSION via commandline

Please follow our installation guide to install Album.

Make sure your Album environment is activated. If you used the installation wizard, see Using Album on the command line in the Album documentation.

If you installed Album manually with micromamba:

micromamba activate album
Now you can add this catalog to your collection (in case you haven't done that already):
album add-catalog CATALOG_URL
List the input parameters of the solution and its metadata, like the credits for the tools used in this solution:
album info CATALOG_NAME:GROUP:NAME:VERSION
Run the solution. With --install, Album installs it first if it is not installed yet:
album run CATALOG_NAME:GROUP:NAME:VERSION --install

Pass input parameters after the solution coordinates, e.g. album run CATALOG_NAME:GROUP:NAME:VERSION --install --PARAMETER_NAME PARAMETER_VALUE. More about solutions on the command line: Album documentation.
